Energy Price Cap To Be Even Worse Than Expected To Rise To £2800
The energy price cap is expected to hit an al time high from £1,971 to £2,800 a year in October 2022, the boss of Ofgem has told MPs.   The energy regulator's chief exective Jonathan Brearley told the the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee he will write to Rishi Sunak, informing the chancellor he expects the cap to be "in the region of £2800.

New study shows 1 in 5 employers in Scotland will insist on staff to be vaccinated against COVID-19 in the year ahead
Over one in five of employers (21%) in Scotland plan to implement a "no-jab, no-job" policy in the year ahead for existing staff, according to a new study.   Workplace experts, Acas, commissioned YouGov to ask senior decision makers in Scottish businesses whether they plan to make it a requirement for staff to be vaccinated against Covid-19 as a condition of employment in the year ahead.

Minor Injuries Unit at Dunbar Hospital to reopen
Thurso's Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) will reopen next month after a period of closure due to staff supporting the COVID Assessment Centre in Wick, and some staffing shortages.   The unit, which is based at Dunbar Hospital, will reopen on 06 June between the hours of 08:00 - 17:00 allowing unscheduled care, via NHS24 or pre-arranged elsewhere, to take place during these hours.

Next time you're parking at Raigmore, you might notice that the car park looks a little different as we ask drivers to think about ‘cutting the car miles'.   We have installed signs asking drivers to switch from their car to walking, cycling, lift-sharing or using public transport, as part of measures to reduce pressure on parking.

The percentage of people testing positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) continued to fall in every UK country in the week ending 13 May 2022.   In England, the percentage of people testing positive decreased in all age groups and regions, apart from the South East and South West, where the trend was uncertain in the latest week.
