Become a Philly Local Hero and Represent your Region
7th December 2010
The search for regional cooks with fantastic Philadelphia recipes is on!
December 2010: TV chef Ed Baines is on the hunt for cooking enthusiasts to become a 'Local Philly Hero'- you could represent your region by creating your own recipe for Philadelphia, the UK's number one cream cheese.
If you are chosen to be one of Philly's ten local heroes you could feature in Philadelphia TV ads, billboard posters, the Philly website and even on pack... and the chance of a cash reward of £1,000 makes it an even tastier proposition.
All you need to do is submit your own quick and easy recipe featuring any of the Philly varieties as a main ingredient. We are on the look out for dishes that carry a real flavour of the UK - from local ingredients, landmarks, events or even personalities, we want recipes which represent your home area.
Ed says "Philadelphia is so versatile, it can transform everyday ingredients into mouth-watering dishes the whole family will love. I have created some delicious recipes but now we are giving Philly fans the chance to put themselves and their local area in the spotlight with their very own recipe."
Visit www.philadelphia.co.uk/localphillyheroes for more information - the closing date for applications is 24th January 2011.
