Escape Business Technologies celebrates 10 year client milestone with contracts worth £950,000.

Thurso and Aberdeen-based Escape Business Technologies, the energy-focused IT provider, has been awarded contracts worth £950,000 by Ithaca Energy and Peterson SBS. Escape is in its thirteenth year of operation and the tenth year of providing IT support and technologies to logistics company, Peterson SBS.

As part of the three-year contract with Peterson SBS, Escape supports the company with all aspects of IT, helpdesk and project work as well as the implementation of SharePoint and the replacement of the telephone system. Escape provides a dedicated team of five project and service delivery managers and IT support staff to the firm's 200 staff throughout the UK.

Commenting on the contract award, Murdo MacIver, Director of Peterson SBS said: "Escape has tailored on-site and remote IT support and implementation services specifically to suit us. Their consistent advice on all aspects of our ICT system keep it up to date and running smoothly, aiding the effective day to day operations of Peterson SBS."

Graeme Gammie, operations director, Escape said: "we have built up an excellent working relationship with Peterson SBS over the past ten years and are delighted that they have chosen to remain with Escape for all of their IT requirements. We have grown with them and as the company has expanded over the years so have the technologies and services we supply them with.

"We initially provided cover for Peterson SBS' server and desktop systems. We supported around 30 users in Aberdeen and Shetland then and now support around 200 users all over the UK and are working with Peterson SBS to integrate its systems with its Dutch parent company.

"With the growth of the business into diverse locations, we were tasked with providing voice and computer system access solutions to remote sites and staff on the move. They now have a fully integrated, seamless network utilising HP, Microsoft, Citrix and VMWare and Avaya voice over IP (VOIP) telephony ensuring all parts of the business can work quickly, as if they are all in one office.

"The main projects we have worked on for Peterson SBS in recent years include the implementation of Microsoft Sharepoint and the integration of their Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange mail system with their Dutch parent company.

"We have also implemented an Avaya telephone system for Voice Over IP (VOIP) to all offices to give a centralised reception function in Aberdeen and also a full refresh of their servers and VMWare infrastructure. We look forward to continuing this successful relationship."

Escape Business Technologies has offices in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Caithness - its team of 26 engineers provide IT support for all sizes of businesses as well as offering IT consultancy and outsourced IT solutions.
