Six-times World Snooker Champion Steve Davis presents award.

Caithness and Inverness based window and door company Norscot Joinery has won a prestigious national award for customer satisfaction!

Norscot's trophy comes from the respected trade organisation Network VEKA, which polled nearly 16,000 households over the year, before declaring Norscot the winner for Scotland.

Network VEKA is a unique, sectoral standards organisation that only accepts the very best, most professional window and door companies, and then makes sure they stay the best.

All prospective members undergo rigorous vetting before being accepted and must agree to regular audits and training. In this way, Network VEKA can be so confident in the quality of its members' work that every one is able to offer the organisation's ten year insurance-backed guarantee.

Every single customer - of every single member - also completes a confidential 'customer satisfaction' questionnaire which is sent directly back to Network VEKA.

Norscot's award was presented by snooker legend Steve Davis at Network VEKA's AGM in Stratford-upon-Avon. Six-times World Champion Steve, who is also the Brand Ambassador for the organisation, told the team: "All Network VEKA members maintain incredibly high standards, so you really are competing against the best of the best. To win 'Best in Scotland' is an incredible achievement."

Norscot's Commercial Director Callum Grant was quick to pass on the praise to the workforce: "We're very proud to win this award as it demonstrates that all the effort we put into our customer care and after-sales service does not go unnoticed. Our dedicated team go above and beyond to exceed our customers' expectations, and we're delighted to have that recognised. We'll do our best to take home the trophy again next year!"

Norscot is a family-owned business which was established in 1984. The company's headquarters are its Bower Workshops in Caithness; it also has a showroom in Inverness. The factory is equipped with sophisticated computer-controlled machinery which, together with the skilled workforce, produces the widest range of building components and related products available from a single source anywhere in Scotland.

Norscot's product portfolio includes a range of timber frame kit homes; made-to-measure windows, doors, patios and conservatories in redwood, hardwood and either white, rosewood or golden oak PVC-U: the Design 5 timber /aluminium composite window system and sliding mirror doors system. All products benefit from a quality assurance scheme, accredited to the internationally recognised ISO 9001 standard. PVC-U windows also carry the BM Trada Q-Mark third party accreditation.

The company's customer base comes from the domestic, retail, trade and public market sectors from the Shetland Isles in the North to the central belt in the South and from the Outer Hebrides in the west to Aberdeen in the East.
