Dunnet Bay Distillery launches its third Seasonal Rock Rose Gin: The Autumn Edition

On 7th October, Dunnet Bay Distillery, the UK's most northerly mainland distillery will launch its third seasonal release. As with each limited edition in the range, the Autumn Edition features the same base botanicals as the multi award-winning Rock Rose Gin but with some seasonal variations.

For the Autumn Edition the distillery will lower the citrus elements to allow the berries and spice to become more prominent.  It will feature blackberries and raspberries from Caithness Summer Fruits, along with blaeberries from the Dunnet area and Vietnamese coriander and nasturtium grown in the distillery's very own geodome. Plus the ceramic bottle has been given an autumnal makeover in hues of orange and brown.

Rock Rose Gin was launched to critical acclaim in 2014, securing a host of prestigious listings and awards. Hand-distilled in Caithness by husband and wife team, Martin and Claire Murray, it features traditional and local botanicals that are hand-foraged from nearby cliffs and forests.  In fact it gets its name from one of the hero botanicals, the Rhodiola rosea (a rose in the rocks), which adds a delicate floral note to the gin.

Martin Murray, Co-Founder of Dunnet Bay Distillery, says, "We’ve been thrilled to discover that our seasonal editions have become so collectable and we’ve even had to set up waiting lists for each release due to demand. This one is full of spice and berries, the perfect tipple as the days start to draw in."

The Seasonal Editions, RRP. £37.50. Find out more or make an order at: dunnetbaydistillers.co.uk
