DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd, (October, 28th) sold 703 rams at its annual show and sale of North County Hill Cheviots, generously sponsored by Robertson Crop Services, D. R. Alexander Trailers, and Animal Health (Highland).
The overall champion was a two shear from Messrs W. D. Allen, Whitefield, Humbleheugh, realising £1,500 to the judge Mr M. Cook, Baligill, Halkirk. The reserve champion award went to a three shear from Mr L. Robertson, Inkstack Farm, Barrack, Thurso, realising £1,000 also to the judge. Miss J. Campbell, Armadale Farm, Thurso won the Animal Health Highland sponsored prize for highest Highland flock average (minimum 5 rams), selling 10 rams to average £1220.00.
Shearlings (129) sold to £2,800 gross from East Brachmont Farm, Banchory.
Two shears (430) sold to £3,100 gross from Wester Dunnet, Thurso.
Three shears (102) sold to £5,500 gross from Inkstack Farm, Barrack.
Four shears (33) sold to £1,600 gross from Wester Dunnet.
Ram lambs (6) sold to £600 gross from 1 & 2 Ose, Isle of Skye.

FORT WILLIAM, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (September, 22nd) sold 4235 store sheep of all classes. Lambs (3,434) Sold to £67.50 gross for a pen of Cheviot lambs from Annbank, Kilchoan.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd, (September, 23rd) sold 358 rams and females at its annual show and sale sponsored by Norvite. The judges, Mr John & Mr James Scott, Fearn Farm, Tain, awarded the overall show champion and winner of the Mountrich trophy to a Suffolk shearling from Messrs A.

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (September, 19th) sold 32 prime cattle. Prime heifers (32) averaged 216.7p (-5.5p) and sold to 226.0p per kg and £1,537.00 gross.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highlands Marts Ltd, (September, 11th) sold 5,117 ewe lambs and gimmers at the Highland Mule Breeders Association annual show and sale. The gimmer judge, Mr B.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (September, 6th) sold 85 store cattle, 39 adult head of breeding cattle and 31 OTM cattle. Bullocks (27) averaged 214.0p and sold to 325.0p per kg for an 80kg Aberdeen Angus cross from Proncy Farm, Dornoch, and £1,120 gross for a pair of 510kg Limousin crosses from Carrol Farm, Brora.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (September, 5th) sold 26 prime cattle. Prime bullocks (6) averaged 225.2p (N/C) and sold to 236.0p per kg and £1,339.30.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (August, 29th) sold 26 prime cattle. Prime heifers (26) averaged 221.7p (-10.7p) and sold to 235.0p per kg and £1,562.20 gross.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd, (August, 25th) sold 101 rams at its sixth annual ‘Great from Grass' on farm sale of rams at Fearn Farm, Tain, on behalf of Messrs J Scott & Partners. Texel shearlings (34) averaged £822.44 and sold to 1,250 guineas thrice.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (August 24th) sold 13,469 store lambs at their annual sale. Cheviot wedder lambs (7,411) averaged £42.62 (-£5.53 on the year) and sold to £72.00 gross from Burnbank, Isle of Canna.
