DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd, (October, 28th) sold 703 rams at its annual show and sale of North County Hill Cheviots, generously sponsored by Robertson Crop Services, D. R. Alexander Trailers, and Animal Health (Highland).
The overall champion was a two shear from Messrs W. D. Allen, Whitefield, Humbleheugh, realising £1,500 to the judge Mr M. Cook, Baligill, Halkirk. The reserve champion award went to a three shear from Mr L. Robertson, Inkstack Farm, Barrack, Thurso, realising £1,000 also to the judge. Miss J. Campbell, Armadale Farm, Thurso won the Animal Health Highland sponsored prize for highest Highland flock average (minimum 5 rams), selling 10 rams to average £1220.00.
Shearlings (129) sold to £2,800 gross from East Brachmont Farm, Banchory.
Two shears (430) sold to £3,100 gross from Wester Dunnet, Thurso.
Three shears (102) sold to £5,500 gross from Inkstack Farm, Barrack.
Four shears (33) sold to £1,600 gross from Wester Dunnet.
Ram lambs (6) sold to £600 gross from 1 & 2 Ose, Isle of Skye.

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (June, 21st) sold 139 store cattle and 12 adult head of breeding cattle. Bullocks (73) averaged 249.1p and sold to 381.8p per kg for a 110kg Limousin cross from 1 Kilbride, Broadford, and £1,230.00 gross for a 630kg Saler cross from Milton Farm, Aberarder.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (June, 20th) sold 18 prime cattle. Prime bullocks (10) averaged 221.1p (-3.2p) and sold to 228.0p per kg and £1,412.55 gross.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts, (June, 7th) sold 423 sheep of all classes. Lambs (102) sold to £77 gross for Cheviots from Allt Nan Subh, Dornie.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (June, 6th) sold 7 prime cattle. Prime bullocks (5) averaged 220.9p (-0.1p) and sold to 227.0p per kg and £1,369.60 gross.

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (May, 24th) sold 294 store cattle. Bullocks (154) averaged 251.4p and sold to 339.4p per kg for a pen of 218kg Simmental crosses from Proncy Farm, Dornoch, and £1,200 gross for a 585kg Simmental cross from 87 Torrobole, Lairg.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (May, 17th) sold 103 pedigree and commercial Luing cattle at their ninth annual spring breeding sale sponsored by W & A Geddes and Harbro Ltd. Pedigree bulling heifers (74) averaged £1,519.52 and sold to 1,995gns (£1,900), twice for 25 month old heifers from Mr F Scott Renwick, Inverbroom Farm, Ullapool, to A & C Matheson, Upper Bogrow, Tain.

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (May, 10th) sold 463 store cattle. Bullocks (231) averaged 245.5p and sold to 294.3p per kg for a 265kg Charolais cross from Corriebheinn Farms, Portree, and £1,390 gross for a pair of 652kg Aberdeen Angus crosses from Wester Moy, Urray.
