Known throughout East Caithness for the past 47 years as " A I WILLIE" for his dedicated service to the farming community and his voluntary work across the county of Caithness.
Willie Mackay has represented Landward Caithness successfully as a Highland Councillor for the past ten years and now wants to do even more for the constituents in the new ward of Wick and the rural townships and villages of East Caithness.
A tireless worker who has been a valuable member of several strategic committees within the Highland Council since 2007.
Willie Mackay ( A I ) MBE has been proud to represent constituents across Caithness over the past ten years. He is a very approachable, caring and obliging councillor. Working hard and taking your issues and concerns forward in EDUCATION - PLANNING - HOUSING - ROADS - TOURISIM - SOCIAL SERVICES TRANSPORT - EMPLOYMENT.
He is a great supporter of care for our ELDERLY and the continuation of our RURAL SCHOOLS .
Currently voluntary chairman of the Caithness branch of ENABLE for learning disabled, patron of the charity KWK9
Rescue group and patron of the Caithness Disability Multi-Sports Group.
Willie Mackay has been involved in organising and working with many community groups in Caithness taking part and organising countless functions and raising monies for local charities.
Having a definite strong bond with the constituents in Wick and East Caithness, Willie Mackay will make sure your voice is heard and that you are treated fairly.
