Utilities Registration - Beware Of Scams

Today we were called twice by people saying they were the Utilities Registration Service. Sounds official but it's not.

They begin the usual range of questions about changing your energy supplier - contract just ended - are you the householder etc etc

Our advice is do not respond to cold callers no matter how good they seem. You need to do your own research about energy bills or check the web sites online that do comparisons.

Be prepared to hang up and politely say "I am not interested"

Many will persist in asking you why etc etc - Do not get involved to be persuaded.
