Coronavirus (covid-19): Daily Data For Scotland - 2 February 2022

8,310 new cases of COVID-19 reported.

28 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

1,116 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

4,417,105 people have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination, 4,130,639 have received their second dose, and 3,302,671 have received a third dose or booster.

Due to a technical issue, Public Health Scotland have been unable to provide daily deaths figures for 2 February 2022. These figures will be updated once they are available.

on 1 February, 30 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive.

in the week ending 30 January, 121 deaths were registered where COVID-19 was on the death certificate.

Since the start of the outbreak:

10,341 people have died who have tested positive as at 1 February.

12,946 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 30 January.

29% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 64% were in hospitals and 7% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 30 January).
