5,650 new cases of COVID-19 reported.

24 new reported deaths of people who have tested positive.

25 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

990 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

4,419,733 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination, 4,134,606 have received their second dose, and 3,314,502 have received a third dose or booster.

on 4 February, 17 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive.

in the week ending 30 January, 121 deaths were registered where COVID-19 was on the death certificate.

Since the start of the outbreak:

10,407 people have died who have tested positive as at 4 February.

12,946 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 30 January.

29% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 64% were in hospitals and 7% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 30 January).

1,042 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19; of these, 27 were in intensive care.

in addition, yesterday 12 confirmed COVID-19 patients were in intensive care longer than 28 days.

in the week ending 31 January, 576 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to hospital.

in the week ending 3 February, 22 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to intensive care.

31,023 inpatients who tested positive for COVID-19 have been discharged from hospital since 5 March 2020.

as at 2 February, 1,666 people were delayed in hospital.
