6,630 new cases of COVID-19 reported.
14 new reported deaths of people who have tested positive.
18 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.
950 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.
4,423,415 people have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination, 4,137,747 have received their second dose, and 3,324,876 have received a third dose or booster.
on 8 February, 14 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive.
in the week ending 30 January, 121 deaths were registered where COVID-19 was on the death certificate.
Since the start of the outbreak:
10,447 people have died who have tested positive as at 8 February.
12,946 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 30 January.
29% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 64% were in hospitals and 7% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 30 January).
950 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19; of these, 18 were in intensive care.
in addition, yesterday 13 confirmed COVID-19 patients were in intensive care longer than 28 days.
in the week ending 3 February, 550 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to hospital.
in the week ending 7 February, 23 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to intensive care.
31,344 inpatients who tested positive for COVID-19 have been discharged from hospital since 5 March 2020.
As at 2 February, 1,666 people were delayed in hospital.
