6,935* new cases of COVID-19 reported
41 new reported deaths of people who have tested positive
22 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

2,383 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19.

4,355,289 people have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination, 4,093,341 have received their second dose, and have 3,452,587 received a third dose or booster.

* Please note, Public Health Scotland (PHS) have flagged due to timing of when these were processed this morning the newly reported figures for the last 24 hours may be a little lower than expected, and will be included within the next 24 hour reporting period (Saturday) which PHS will provide on Monday.

on 1 April, 41 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive.

in the week ending 27 March, 192 deaths were registered where COVID-19 was on the death certificate.

Since the start of the outbreak:

11,469 people have died who have tested positive as at 1 April.

13,885 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to 27 March.

29% of COVID-19 registered deaths related to deaths in care homes, 63% were in hospitals and 7% were at home or non-institutional settings (as at 27 March).

in addition, yesterday 8 confirmed COVID-19 patients were in intensive care longer than 28 days.

in the week ending 28 March, 1,282 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to hospital.

in the week ending 31 March, 24 patients with confirmed COVID-19 were admitted to intensive care.

38,245 inpatients who tested positive for COVID-19 have been discharged from hospital since 5 March 2020.

as at 30 March, 1,683 people were delayed in hospital.
