Covid Still Hitting New People

In the week ending 10 July 2022 there were 16,521 reported COVID-19 cases, a decrease of 9.5% from the previous week ending 03 July 2022 (18,248).

In the week ending 10 July 2022, 3,384 (20.5%) of all cases reported that week were determined to be reinfections when applying the 90-day threshold.

In the latest week ending 10 July 2022, the number of new COVID-19 admissions to hospital fell from 1170 to 990 (15.4%) from the week ending 03 July 2022. The highest number of admissions are now in those aged 80+ (28.0%).

In the week ending 10 July 2022 there were 19 new admissions to Intensive Care Units (ICUs) with a laboratory confirmed test of COVID-19.

In the week ending 10 July 2022, there were on average 1,669 patients in hospital with COVID-19, a 15.0% increase from the previous week ending 03 July 2022 (1,451).
