28th September 2010

Business technology service provider Escape Group said yesterday it had secured more than £400,000 of contracts this month and added four staff to its team in Aberdeen, Glasgow and the Highlands.

The contracts include IT infrastructure and support work for the education and energy sectors, including projects in the nuclear and renewables industries.

Two staff have been recruited in Aberdeen, one in Thurso and one in Glasgow, taking its payroll to 33. The Aberdeen based firm implemented a £250,000 remote monitoring and management software package recently to further improve its service provision by providing real-time information on issues, reporting and asset tracking functions resulting in cost and time savings for clients worldwide.

Escape director Robin Parkinson said: "Escape Group is performing well and we have expanded significantly with new streams to the business including a software specialist business and IT resourcing division."

"We continue to focus on the global oil industry and have also diversified into the construction, renewables and nuclear industries."
