Closing Date For Applications Extended For Dunnet Post Office

12th September 2002

The Post Office has extended the closing date for applications to run Dunnet Post Office branch.

The extension means that people now have until Monday 30 September to show an interest in running Dunnet Post Office?. If you are keen to find out what is involved, all you have to do is contact Agency Recruitment on 0845 601 6260.

The Post Office is looking to find a new subpostmaster or subpostmistress who would be able to spare 12 hours per week, on days to suit them and the community, to help keep a Post Office? service in the village.

The new subpostmaster would need to provide premises to run the office, however, this would not particularly require retail premises as an office can easily be run from home. It would take up no more space than a large cupboard.

Post Office Rural Transfer Advisor, Kenny Lamont said: "Post Office branches are at the heart of communities providing a vital resource. We remain committed to a strong and vibrant network of Post Office? branches, however to do this, we require a public spirited individual to come forward and take on this vital role."
