More Support For Medical Specialties - £8.5 Million For Additional Trainees In Pandemic Response.
Up to 64 additional medical speciality training posts are being created as part of the Scottish Government response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. NHS Education for Scotland (NES) has recommended recruiting 13 extra training posts in intensive care medicine with additional posts also being created in Public Health medicine, virology and medical microbiology.10/11/2020

Albert Bourla From Pfizer Discusses Covid-19 Vaccine Efficacy Results
I am happy to share with you that Pfizer and our collaborator, BioNTech, announced positive efficacy results from our Phase 3, late-stage study of our potential COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine candidate was found to be more than 90% effective in preventing COVID-19 in participants without evidence of prior SARS-CoV-2 infection in the first interim efficacy analysis.

Renewable Heat Scheme For Homeowners
A new £4.5 million cashback incentive to help people install renewable and energy efficiency measures in their homes has been announced by the Scottish Government. On 9 November 2020 the Chancellor announced that the UK will be granting a package of equivalence decisions to the European Economic Area (‘EEA') States, including the Member States of the European Union (‘EU'). To provide clarity and stability to industry and reflecting the Government’s commitment to be as open as possible HM Treasury announced as many decisions as we can in advance of the end of the Transition Period provided for under the agreement on the UK’s withdrawal from the EU (the Transition Period) on 31 December 2020.
