Scotland On Tour - Grants For Professional Musicians
What does this involve? Scotland on Tour is a new initiative funded by the Scottish Government and delivered by Active Events to bring new and additional concerts to towns and villages across Scotland in 2022.   Funding is available for artists and for venues/promoters.

Coronavirus And The Social Impacts On Great Britain 22 October 2021
The Office for National Statistics reporting on the Social Impacts of Covid.   Throughout the period of 6 to 17 October 2021, based on adults in Great Britain.: Around 8 in 10 (82%) adults reported they wore a face covering when outside their home in the past seven days, while around 4 in 10 (39%) reported they always or often maintained social distancing when outside their home.

Retail sales volumes fell by 0.2% in September 2021, following an upwardly-revised 0.6% fall in August; despite the fall in September, volumes were 4.2% higher than their pre-coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic February 2020 levels.   Non-food stores reported a fall of 1.4% in sales volumes in September 2021, because of falls in household goods stores (negative 9.3%), such as furniture and lighting stores, and other non-food stores (negative 1.7%) such as sports equipment stores.

Retail sales fell by -0.2% in September, the fifth consecutive fall since April.  Only an uptick in online sales prevented a greater slump, says ParcelHero.

Vaccine Update From NHS Higland
The uptake of the COVID vaccine programme in NHS Highland has been excellent and we fully appreciate that many are now keen to get their COVID booster and their flu vaccination.   The COVID booster and flu vaccination programme runs until December 2021 and we are progressing clinic plans to allow us to deliver the vaccinations through NHS Highland clinics, GPs and School nurses.

Increasing Numbers Of People Missing Energy Bills
Increasing numbers of people are missing energy bill payments because they have run out of money before pay day, new analysis from Citizens Advice Scotland (CAS) reveals.   Analysis of polling for the charity by YouGov shows that in 2020 around 1 in 10 people (9 per cent) missed a gas or electricity payment because they had run out of cash before pay day in the past year.
