Final Covid Loans Data Reveals £80 Billion Of Government Support Through The Pandemic
Businesses across the UK have received almost £80 billion worth of emergency government-backed loans during the Covid crisis.   Over 1.6 million loans - including Bounce Back Loans and Coronavirus Business Interruption Loans - approved between April 2020 and May 2021.

Major Milestone In Vaccination Programme In Scotland

Grants For Crofters' Homes
Grants to improve housing or build new homes in some of Scotland's most remote and marginal communities have been awarded to 13 crofters.   The Croft House Grants scheme aims to retain and attract people to rural and remote communities with the latest round of funding awarding grants worth £433,072.

Affordable Homes Funding
Council areas across Scotland are to share more than £3.2 billion in grant funding over five years to deliver more affordable homes.   Local authorities will benefit from an increase of more than £541 million on the previous five year allocation - an uplift of more than 20%.

Funding To Help Food And Drink Sector Recover From Covid Impact

Still Time To Apply To Vote In Highland Council By-elections - Wick and East Caithness and Inverness West
Polling will take place on Thursday 12 August to elect one of five candidates standing in The Highland Council's Wick and East Caithness ward and one of seven candidates standing in the Inverness West ward so voters are being reminded to make sure they are ready to make their vote count.   The Local Government by-election has arisen in Wards 3 and 13 due to the resignations of Councillor Nicola Sinclair, one of 4 Councillors representing the Wick and East Caithness Ward, and Councillor Graham Ross, one of 3 members of the Inverness West Ward.
