Dingwall And Highland Marts Ltd - Young Farmers over-wintered cattle Sale 17 March 2021
DINGWALL, Dingwall and Highland Marts Ltd, (March, 17th) sold 14 Young Farmers over-wintered cattle at their annual sale, kindly sponsored by Messrs Craiglands Quarry, Fortrose, Conan Vets, Conon Bridge and ABP, Perth. Bullocks (13) averaged 261.1p and sold to 295.5p per kilo for the 2nd prize homebred bullock a 423kg Limousin cross from Georgia Fraser, Little Croy Farm, Inverness and £1,400 gross for 1st prize homebred bullock a 516kg Limousin cross from Duncan Munro, Invercharron Mains, Ardgay.18/3/2021
Highland Council Encouraging Those Who Have Not Yet Applied For The EU Settlement Scheme To Act Now
Highland Council is encouraging anyone who has not yet applied to join the EU Settlement Scheme to do so as soon as possible before the 30 June deadline. Latest figures on the EU Settlement Scheme show that there have been 10,140 applications in the Highland Council area up until the end of December 2020.

Closing Date For Taxi Fund - Today 18 March
The Scottish Government has just announced the Taxi and Private Hire Driver Fund will close to new applicants at 5pm on Thursday 18 March 2021. Highland Council has already approved 457 grants to value of £685,500 and urges all eligible taxi/private hire drivers who have not yet applied to do so immediately.18/3/2021

Islands Growth Deal Worth £335 Million Signed
UK Government joins partners to sign Heads of Terms agreement for Scotland's three island areas. On Wednesday 17 March 2021, UK Government Minister for Scotland Iain Stewart joined the Scottish Government's Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure and Connectivity, Michael Matheson, and leaders of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, Orkney Islands Council, and Shetland Islands Council to sign the Heads of Terms for the Islands Growth Deal.
