The new Head Teacher of Keiss Primary School in Caithness is Kathryn Laidlaw. She takes up her post in August 2015. Miss Laidlaw has recently been teaching in Canisbay Primary since October 2014. Prior to this she worked at Merkinch Primary, Inverness for four years as Class Teacher and Acting Principal Teacher. She was also a Class Teacher at Avoch Primary for 2 years. She said: "I am absolutely delighted to take up the post of Head Teacher in Keiss Primary. It's a new and exciting challenge for me. Keiss has an excellent team of staff, pupils, parents and community members already in place and I look forward to working alongside them in the coming years to continue and build on the good work at Keiss Primary."
