Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission plc, part of SSE, owns and maintains the electricity transmission network in the north of Scotland.

We are developing plans to provide a new tower line and underground cable from a new sub-station at Gills Bay to a second new sub-station at Thurso South.

For this reason, we are hosting an event which will comprise of display boards and members of the project team who will be available to answer questions and receive any comments.

We are hosting events on the following dates  to outline our plans:

Tuesday 16 June - Caithness Horizons, Old Town Hall - 2.00pm to 4.30pm
Tuesday 16 June - Mey Hall, Mey - 6.00pm to 8.30pm

This event is intended for public information only. Comments made to SHE Transmission are not representations to the Council, as planning authority. The opportunity for lodging representations will be when the application is formally submitted to the Council for formal consideration.
