We're here to support you in a number of different ways. Here's some useful information to help keep you on track.

Easy ways to manage your money

Our Online Banking services are simple to use, secure and available 24/7 - if you haven't already signed up, you can register at www.hi-scot.com/register

Getting in touch

If you want to talk to us about your HI-Scot account you can call us Monday through Friday from 09:30 -12:30 and 13:30 - 16:30 on 01851 701865. Please remember, if you have any concerns about your HI-Scot account we’re here to help so call us now.

Alternatively you can email us on info@hi-scot.com and we will get straight back to you. Our Stornoway office is currently open as usual. We always put the safety of our staff and members at the forefront of what we do. Our customer service area is disinfected regularly throughout the day and our staff have access to

Hand sanitiser, gloves and warm water and soap.

We would encourage our members to use the telephone or Online Banking service to contact us where possible to keep foot traffic through our office to a minimum.

If you do have to attend the office we ask you to respect the personal space of others.

Staying secure

Please be aware that criminals are using the publicity around COVID-19 as a chance to pose as a genuine organisation, including banks, police officers, government, the World Health Organisation or other health service providers.

HI-Scot, the police or any other government body will never ask any customer to divulge any security information, including Online Banking credentials.

Customers will never be asked to move money into a safe account for protection and if there has been any unusual activity on your account please report this as soon as possible.

Banking Protocol: Preventing Fraud And Protecting Members In Credit Unions
The Banking Protocol is a rapid response scheme that will enable credit union staff to alert police when they suspect a customer is being scammed.   Police will attend the branch within the timeframe of an emergency response, enabling them to provide an effective customer intervention, secure evidence to enable them to investigate the potential scam and sometimes catch fraudsters in the act.
