In some cases this is because government computers have failed to automatically award the correct rate of pension. In other cases it is because the women concerned did not know they could claim a higher rate when their husband reached pension age.
LCP has created a calculator to help you identify if you may be affected. By entering a few details about you and your husband, you'll be able to get an indication of whether you may be receiving too little.
Are you receiving less than £80.45 per week national insurance pension as a married woman. You will also need your husbands weekly pension amount and his date of birth.
