DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (September, 16th) sold 6,231 store lambs and ewes including 871 on behalf of Lewis Livestock Producers.
Lambs (5,198) sold to £60 gross for Suffolk crosses from 22 Achfrish, Lairg.
Ewes & gimmers (160) sold to £80 gross for Texel ewes from 40 Newton Street, Stornoway.
Lewis Livestock Producers lambs (657) sold to £56 gross for Texel crosses from 15 Laxay, Isle of Lewis.
Lewis Livestock Producers feeding sheep (214) sold to £61 gross for Cheviot ewes from 40 Crossbost, Lochs.

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (October, 15th) sold 16 prime cattle. Prime Heifers (16) averaged 195.2p (+2.1p) and sold to 209.0p per kg and ¬£1,283.80 gross.
PORTREE, Dingwall and Highland Marts Ltd., (October, 14th) sold 62 weaned calves and store cattle, 35 breeding cattle and 26 OTM cattle. Bullocks (36) sold to 218.6p per kg for a pair of 183kg Simmental crosses from 5 Borreraig, Dunvegan, and ¬£1,000 gross for a 610kg Limousin cross from 5/6 Borneskitaig, Kilmuir.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd, (October, 11th) sold 168 rams at its annual show and sale of Blackface rams, sponsored by P K N Nutrition. The overall champion was a shearling from Messrs MacDonald, Ess, Carrbridge, realising ¬£1,700 to Messrs Pitmain Estate.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (October, 9th) sold 653 weaned calves at their first annual district ballot show and sale. The show champion sponsored by Barclays Transport, Portsoy and judged by Miss Sophie Watt, Cairntack, Balmedie was awarded to a six month old Limousin cross bullock from Mr D MacLean, 4 Bualnaluib, Aultbea scaling in at 260kg and realising ¬£800 gross.
PORTREE, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (October, 7th) sold 2,887 store sheep of all classes. Lambs (1,280) sold to ¬£64 gross for Crosses from 15 Glenconon, Uig.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (October, 3rd) sold 3,630 breeding and store sheep. Breeding ewes (2,924) averaged ¬£63.90 (¬£53.83 last year) and sold to ¬£128 for a pair of Cheviots from Ose Farm, Struan.
DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (October, 1st) sold 20 prime cattle. Prime heifers (20) averaged 191.7p (-12.4p) and sold to 200.0p per kg twice and ¬£1,313.50 gross.
LOCHMADDY, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (September, 30th) sold 2,654 store sheep of all classes. Lambs (1,591) sold to ¬£69 per head for a pair of Texel crosses from 5 Peninerine, Lochboisdale.
