Community ownership of woodlands and forestry is on the rise, partially due to powers from the Community Empowerment Act. Community Woodlands Association (CWA) provides advice, assistance and information to community groups considering or in the process of taking on a community woodland. Forest Enterprise Scotland's (FES) Community Asset Transfer Scheme (CATS) for Scotland's National Forest Estate sets out how they'll deliver asset transfer rights for communities.

FES, CWA and Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) have come together to provide an update on the FES CATS, how this can work alongside the Scottish Land Fund, and how to develop a woodlands based community owned asset.

This webinar is targeted at all communities that are involved in, or interested in, taking over ownership of forestry or woodland.
