Kp Technology Wins Rural Business Of The Year At The Amazon Growing Business Awards 2017

KP Technology was awarded "Rural Business of the Year" at the Amazon Growing Business Awards Ceremony last night in London recognising our 'truly global business'.

Professor Baikie, Founder and CEO of KP Technology, speaking from the Materials Research Society Conference in Boston USA, said "We are very proud to win this national award against stiff competition. This proves business excellence can be achieved in the Highlands of Scotland and it helps put Wick on the map. We look forward to releasing our new product range next year and continuing to expand. It is fantastic that Amazon and the Confederation of British Industry are highlighting the successes of growing export businesses such as ours."

Tomi Baikie who collected the Award for KP Technology stated, "We were thrilled at being nominated for an Amazon Growing Business Award and to win is an outstanding achievement for everyone at KP Technology. It's brilliant to be taking our award back to Caithness, in the far north of Scotland."

Caithness company wins second Queen's Award for Enterprise
Small, medium and large companies from across the UK are today celebrating winning a Queen’s Award for Enterprise - the UK’s highest accolade for business success.   The success of 152 businesses has been recognised this year: 116 exporting companies have won ‘Awards for International Trade’; 27 for ‘Innovation’, and nine for ‘Sustainable Development’ benefitting the environment, society and the economy.

Prof Iain Baikie, Director of KP Technology in Wick, picked up a John Logie Baird Award - one of the major innovation awards open to Scottish businesses- last week.  At a reception for over 300 people in the Glasgow Science Centre, KP Technology won in the "Impact in Innovation" category.
