Elisa Miller, a Caithness-born solicitor is set to return to her home county next weekend to offer legal advice and guidance to visitors at the 2019 Caithness Show in Wick.

Elisa Miller, who was born and raised on a farm in Caithness, works in the Inverness branch of law firm Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP (WJM), and will be on-hand over the weekend to advise show-goers on agricultural and rural legal affairs.

Ms Miller has 12 years' legal experience and specialises in commercial property transactions across the Highlands and Islands.

She said: "I was brought up in Caithness and went to school in Thurso before I moved to Aberdeen to study when I was 18. I moved up to Inverness in 2004 and have been back in the Highlands ever since.

"I have a strong connection to the local area. I've been involved in the Caithness Show in one way or another for years. I even used to ride horses at it, so I'm really looking forward to coming along this year as part of the WJM team and getting a chance to speak to the visitors."

Her experience includes drafting foliage agreements, forestry land sales and leases, crofting transactions and farm sales and purchases.

She continued: "I was raised on a farm, so I have lots of first-hand experience of rural life and I'm acutely aware of the unique challenges businesses here can sometimes face.

"It's vital for individuals and businesses in the rural and agricultural sectors to seek legal advice from someone who truly understands the market. My local knowledge and experience means I have a great insight into how these matters work, and clients tend to really appreciate that.

"Being at the show will be a great opportunity to meet some local farmers and find out how things are going at the moment and discuss any concerns they may have."
