Salary sacrifice may be of interest for some people. This needs careful study to see if the savings are worth it.
Salary sacrifice for employers
Salary sacrifice allows employees to contribute to their pension from their gross pay, meaning they will be taxed at a lower level of salary. National Insurance is not a devolved matter and is a tax reserved to the UK Government. The Health and Social Care Levy will also fall under the National Insurance bracket - meaning it is also not in the hands of Holyrood.
