Abbey Group Cambridgeshire Limited, a leading renewables, property management and logistics group has bought Forss Business and Technology Park in Caithness through its new Scottish subsidiary Abbey Ecosse Ltd. to increase its land holding in Forss, complement its other investments in Scotland and to spearhead the focus on renewable energy development.

The Group sees Caithness as a strategic location for energy related work and this purchase opens the way for greater investment in Scotland with the new Scottish subsidiary company taking a lead in these opportunities going forward.

Abbey Group Managing Director Carl Sutton commented "Caithness in the north of Scotland is a strategic location for us as it allows us to relocate our wind development companies to the Highlands and to market and develop core business support services for the property and energy sectors. We are at an advanced stage of negotiation with a number of leading wind turbine technology companies to have their Highland service support centres based at Forss. Giving Forss a strategic future direction also allows us to re-engage with the nuclear decommissioning sector with confidence and support existing tenants and capitalise on new opportunities".

Abbey Ecosse will focus on energy, property and related service projects and is already involved in discussions on new projects in these sectors. More details for these will be outlined over the coming months.
