19th August 2007

Is your business a winner? Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) is offering a two-day trip worth £1,000 to a high-profile event in Glasgow for Scotland's leading entrepreneurs.

If your business is based within the HIE geographical area, you've got at least one ready-for-market product or service and are actively seeking ways to expand your sales base beyond local boundaries, you are eligible to win a maximum of two delegate places at this prestigious event taking place on Friday 5th - Saturday 6th October 2007.

To enter and secure your chance to win, all you have to do is use the link below and answer the competition question.

The Global Sales Strategies for Ambitious Scottish Entrepreneurs event is organised by Entrepreneurship Scotland and features guest speaker Ken Morse, senior lecturer and managing director of the MIT Entrepreneurship Center, Massachusetts, USA.

Ken Morse has 30 years experience in global high tech sales and sales management and has successfully launched a number of high tech companies during the course of his career.

Trond Sorensen, CEO of Net Trans Services, Norway, was a delegate at one of Ken Morse's previous seminars and describes the benefits of the two-day event: "If you ever want to improve your strategic sales skills, two days with Ken Morse will put you right on top. Ken's knowledge and experience make you exit with a great set of step-by-step tools, preparation guides and executions practice…my best sales seminar ever."

The prize covers the £1,000 cost of fees for the event, plus meals and two nights accommodation. But the real value of the prize is in what it can do for your business.

If you're looking for investment, this is the ideal place to meet venture capitalists and leaders of the entrepreneurial and business community. It offers key insights into ensuring your business thrives in tough times by shortening sales cycles and establishing dependable and profitable customer relationships. It provides a superb opportunity to meet specialists in high tech sales management who can give you tips on securing that crucial competitive edge. And you'll be able to take away tools that you can start using right away to improve your sales pitch and increase your competitive advantage.

Entry to the competition is simple. Using the online response form, describe the positive impacts you believe this event could have on your business.

Make sure you send in your response by Friday 14th September. Winners will be notified by Friday 21st September.
