Holyrood Committee To Question NHS Bosses Live On Audit Scotland Reports

The Public Audit and Post-Legislative Scrutiny Committee will take evidence from the following witnesses tomorrow from 9.00am Thursday 20 December:
John Burns, Chief Executive, NHS Ayrshire and Arran
Professor Elaine Mead, Chief Executive, NHS Highland

They will give evidence on the Audit Scotland 2017/18 reports on NHS Ayrshire and Arran and NHS Highland. As a reminder, the report said that both health boards face significant financial challenges, which are likely to continue in the years ahead. The Committee will then take evidence from Paul Gray, Director-General Health & Social Care, Scottish Government and Chief Executive, NHS Scotland, on NHS in Scotland 2018 Audit Scotland report, which explained that immediate action is needed to shift the NHS towards long-term, fundamental change.
