Pentland View care home in Thurso was transformed into Blue Hawaii to mark what would have been Elvis Presley's 89th birthday on 8 January.   It is estimated that Elvis has sold over one billion records worldwide so to honour the undisputed King of Rock & Roll, the staff and residents enjoyed a fantastic day of music, fun and dancing.

6 Caithness Groups Among Highland Organisations To Benefit From Community Regeneration Funding Towards Revenue Projects
A funding boost of nearly £1million of revenue investment is set to benefit rural areas across Highland.   The Highland Strategic Local Action Group who met during September, considered, and agreed funding for revenue projects submitted to the first round of the 2023/24 Community Regeneration Fund.

Caithness Wards Discretionary Budget Awards
Caithness Members of The Highland Council have pledged to support this year's "DA DOONIE DAY" Viking Festival which will take place in Wick on Friday 25 November.  The event, which is run by Thurso Rotary Club, will receive financial support of up to £3,000 from each of the three ward discretionary budgets to assist with the cost of staging the event.
