40 New Jobs Expected In Five Years As Ashley Ann, Wick Plans Further Growth

A Caithness company is planning to invest more than £2m in its Wick plant, in a move that could see up to 40 new jobs created in the town over the next five years.   Family-run Ashley Ann Ltd (AAL) designs and manufactures kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms.

Norscot Secures Innovation of the Year Award

Norscot, the Highlands and Islands manufacturer of timber frame kits, windows and doors, received the Innovation of the Year Award at the prestigious Scottish Knowledge Exchange Awards 2018.   The awards, run by Interface, aim to celebrate the achievements of academic and business collaborations and partnerships.

Caithness firm Ashley Ann set to expand

The biggest private sector employer in Wick in Caithness is to strengthen its presence in the area and create more jobs.   Family run Ashley Ann Limited (AAL), which designs and manufactures kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms, has secured a funding package of up to £190,000 from Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE).

Norscot In Line For National Innovation Award

A kit home and window manufacturer with operations in Caithness and Inverness has been shortlisted for a national award for innovation.   Norscot is one of three finalists in the Scottish Knowledge Exchange Awards 2018 Innovation of the Year category, after developing a system for clients to view their new homes on site virtually before building work starts.

Highland MSP Congratulates Far North Kitchen Firm

Highlands and Islands (Scottish Labour) MSP, David Stewart has congratulated Caithness kitchen manufacturer Ashley Ann following its announced expansion plans over the next two years, lodging a motion in the Scottish Parliament.   The Caithness based firm, which has its manufacturing site in Wick, which alone employees over 100 people, has announced major plans to expand the site over the next two years with over £1million being invested in the factory.

Norscot Joinery Ltd snaps up national trophy

Six-times World Snooker Champion Steve Davis presents award.   Caithness and Inverness based window and door company Norscot Joinery has won a prestigious national award for customer satisfaction! Norscot's trophy comes from the respected trade organisation Network VEKA, which polled nearly 16,000 households over the year, before declaring Norscot the winner for Scotland.
