DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (October, 30th) sold 5,178 store lambs, breeding and feeding sheep.
Lambs (3,207) averaged £27.68 and sold to £55 gross for Texels from Burnside Croft, Jamestown.
Correct ewes (1,122) averaged £21.58 and sold to £58 gross for Texel crosses from Sunnylea, Balblair.
Broken mouth ewes (216) averaged £17.45 and sold to £29.50 for Cheviots from The Glebe, Boat of Garden.
Feeding ewes (457) averaged £18.05 and sold to £40 for Suffolk crosses from Bardachan, Dornoch.
Rams (90) sold to £180 for a Cheviot from Rhiroy, Lochbroom.
Feeding sheep (68) averaged £20.57 and sold to £34.50 for Suffolk crosses from Spittal Mains, Watten.
"Lambs fully maintained last weeks keen demand. Breeding and feeding ewes also sold well."
