DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (May, 14th) sold 946 sheep of all classes.
Store lambs (168) sold to £84.50 gross for a pen of Texel crosses from Balrailan, Dingwall.
Ewes, gimmers and hoggs with lambs at foot (303) sold to £125 per outfit for Cheviot ewes with Cheviot twin lambs from Wester Alligan, Torridon.
Feeding ewes (403) averaged £60.63 and sold to £109 gross for Texels from Clyth Mains, Occumster, Caithness.
Feeding rams (34) averaged £71.50 and sold to £105 gross for Suffolks from Balintore Farms, Fearn.
Feeding sheep (38) averaged £52.05 and sold to £70 gross twice for Cheviot wedders from Proncy Farm, Dornoch and Suffolk wedders from Levrattich, Ardclach.
"All classes feeding and breeding sheep continued to sell at increased prices with quality types selling exceptionally well."
