DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (October, 9th) sold 3,827 breeding ewes and lambs at their annual Blackface & Cross ewes, gimmers, ewe lambs sale.
Blackface ewes (1,994) sold to £95 gross for correct ewes from the dispersal of the Glen Gloy Farms Ltd flock, Spean Bridge.
Blackface gimmers (210) sold to £94 gross for a pen of twenty five from Ness House, Inverness.
Blackface ewe lambs (177) sold to £60 gross for a pen of twenty from Glen Gloy Farms Ltd.
Correct ewes (819) sold to £130 gross for Mules from Galcantray Farm, Cawdor.
Gimmers (159) sold to £140 for a Blue Faced Leicester from Broomhill Farm, Muir of Ord.
Ewe lambs (294) sold to £72 gross for a pen from Borlum Farm, Fort Augustus.
Feeding ewes (101) averaged £39.08 and sold to £64 gross for Cheviot ewes from Achscrabster Farm, Thurso.
Feeding sheep (53) sold to £39.50 gross for a Mule wedder from Lower Gartally, Lewiston.
Rams (20) sold to £360 gross for a Texel from Glebe Farm, Allarburn.
