Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd - Sale 7 April 2010

DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (April, 7th) sold 529 Aberdeen Angus store cattle in a special show and sale.
Bullocks (321) averaged 181.4p and sold to 258.1p and �1,200 gross for the champion, a 465kg Aberdeen Angus cross from Gaskbeg, Laggan, Newtonmore.
Heifers (208) averaged 170.5p and sold to 199.7p for a pen of Aberdeen Angus crosses from Whitebog, Fortrose, and �865 gross for an Aberdeen Angus cross from Culrain Mains, Ardgay.
In the Aberdeen Angus Cattle Society sponsored show and sale of store cattle judged by Mr Graeme MacIver, Flowerburn Mains, Fortrose, the overall champion was awarded to a 465kg bullock from Messrs J G Grant & Son, Gaskbeg, Laggan, realising �1,200 gross to the judge. Reserve champion was a 480kg bullock also from Gaskbeg, realising �940 to Auchtydore Farms, Easterton of Lednabo, Mintlaw.
