WICK OUTLET FOR MÒD MERCHANDISE

Mackay's Hotel in Wick has become the latest outlet for the sale of Mòd merchandise in the run up to the National Mòd 2010.

Merchandise will be displayed and sold in Mackay's Hotel from April 2010.

Julian Smith of Designsmith, who provided a design and marketing support service for the local organising committee, said "We have sourced a range of branded merchandise which includes quality t-shirts and sweatshirts, through pens and diaries, to glassware. Everything will be available before the start of the festival through the sales outlet in Mackay's Hotel, Caithness Horizons and other outlets - giving many more people the
opportunity to view the products than would otherwise have been possible. Hopefully there will be something to interest everyone."

Murray Lamont, Mackay's Hotel said "We are delighted to support the efforts of the local organising committee who are working hard to ensure that the National Mòd being held in Caithness for the first time is a huge success."

Carol-Anne Mackay, Events Supports Officer added "We are delighted with the support shown by various businesses and organisations to help raise the profile of the National Mòd and, in particular the interest they have shown to display and sell merchandise. I would encourage anyone else with an interest to stock our merchandise to contact me. Having outlets in both Thurso and Wick will hopefully allow everyone in Caithness to see what wonderful merchandise is on offer."
