DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts, (April, 21st) sold 924 store, breeding and feeding sheep.
Lambs (368) averaged £62.58 and sold to £86.00 gross for Cheviots from Balloan, Conon Bridge.
Ewes (472) averaged £69.98 and sold to £137 gross for Texels from Wester Moy Texels, Urray, Muir of Ord.
Feeding sheep (84) averaged £70.80 and sold to £98 gross for Cheviot rams from Ashcroft, Erbusaig.
"All classes fully maintained the keen rates of the last sale."

Bullocks (125) averaged 299.6p per kg and sold to 361.3p per kg for a pen of 191kg Limousin crosses from 387 Elphin, Lairg and £2,000 gross for a 650kg British Blue cross from Easter Kirk, Wick.

Dingwall's annual sale is becoming quite a spectacle to be seen with demand rising especially further afield in pedigree flocks.
