DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts, (March, 9th) sold 1,830 sheep of all classes.
Lambs (701) averaged £58.96 and sold to £89 gross for Texel crosses from Viewhill Croft, Dingwall.
In lamb ewes (175) averaged £73.91 and sold to £148 gross for Cheviots from the reduction of the flock from 24 Borve, Skeabost Bridge.
In lamb gimmers (29) averaged £83.41 and sold to £130 gross for Cheviots from 24 Borve.
Ewes (854) averaged £63.54 and sold to £145 gross for Texels from Barnyards, Beauly.
Rams and feeding sheep (68) averaged £74.87 and sold to £152 gross for a Texel ram from Viewhill Croft.
"Store lambs continued at recent high rates, prime and feeding ewes met the dearest trade of the season."
