Breeding cattle (21) sold to £2,400 gross for a Limousin bull from Rose Cottage, Spinningdale.

"Today saw meteoric store trade rocketing prices through the atmosphere. If we thought the last sale was phenomenal this one smashes all records. A phenomenal average was set despite not as good a run of cattle forward at the latter part of the sale. At the peak of the burning ring of fire bullocks were averaging a sizzling 322p per kg as a full ring side of buyers just couldn't get enough. Heifers were equally as dear with many perspective purchasers heading home empty handed."
