DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts, (July, 5th) sold 190 store, breeding and feeding sheep.
Lambs (45) averaged £49.57 and sold to £79.50 gross for Cheviots from North Calder, Halkirk.
Ewes & gimmers (80) averaged £78.30 and sold to £130 gross for Texels from Wester Moy, Urray.
Feeding sheep (48) averaged £54.72 and sold to £78 gross for a Cheviot ram from 67 Strathcanaird, Ullapool.
Ewes and gimmers with lambs at foot (17) sold to £70 gross for Blackface ewes with twin Blackface lambs at foot from 3 Melvaig, North Erradale.
"All classes of ewes and hoggs sold at recent firm rates."
