DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts, (August, 29th) sold 3,590 store and breeding sheep incorporating annual sale of HISHA accredited sheep and first sale on behalf of Lewis Livestock Producers.
Store lambs (863) averaged �52 and sold to �80 gross for Texel crosses from Ballachraggan Farm, Kildary.
Ewe lambs (712) averaged �71.01 and sold to �95 gross for Cheviot Mules from Taldale, Caithness.
Gimmers (517) averaged �115.42 and sold to �190 gross for Cheviots Mules from Taldale.
Ewes (297) sold to �150 gross for a Texel from Woodside Croft, Ardersier.
Lewis Livestock Producers lambs (1,201) averaged �34.27 and sold to �71 gross for Texel crosses from Cnoc Glas, High Borve.

�Breeding sheep met a very selective enquiry with only the top lots meeting a ready demand. Trade for store lambs looked sharper on the week.�
