DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (November, 6th) sold 277 weaned calves and store cattle and 6 adult head of breeding cattle.
Stot calves (116) averaged 238.7p and sold to 303.2 per kilo and £940 gross for a 310kg Limousin cross from Dunmaglass Estate, Dores.
Heifer calves (91) averaged 213.0p and sold to 266.7p per kilo for a 255kg Limousin cross from Dunmaglass Estate and £1,000 gross for a 400kg Luing cross from Croft of Clune, Newtonmore.
Store bullocks (36) averaged 215.9p and sold to 229.8p per kilo for a 470kg Charolais cross from Teandalloch, Beauly, and £1,120 gross for a pen of 540kg Charolais crosses Druminlochan, Kincraig.
Store heifers (22) averaged 205.2p and sold to 235p per kilo for a 400kg Limousin crosses from Lower Milton, Drumnadrochit, and £1,200 gross for a 550kg Simmental cross from Lower Gartally, Drumnadrochit.
Young Bulls (12) sold to £670 gross for a Shorthorn cross from 37 & 55 Sangomore, Lairg
Breeding cattle (6) sold to £850 gross twice for a Simmental cross in calf cow from, 5 Achininver, Lairg and for a Shorthorn cross cow with a heifer calf at foot from, Drynie Farm, Dingwall.
