DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (July, 31st ) sold 45 prime cattle and 144 prime sheep.
Prime bullocks (18) averaged 128.9p (-1.6p) and sold to 145p per kg for a 505kg Belgian Blue cross from Castlecraig Farms, Nigg, to Ness Foods, Inverness, and £878.40 gross for a 720kg Limousin from Dochcarty Farm, Dingwall, to Woodhead brothers, Turriff.
Prime heifers (27) averaged 132.6p (+1.4p) and sold to 140p per kg for a 560kg Limousin from Mountrich Farm, Dingwall, to Woodhead Brothers, and £828 gross for a 600kg Charolais cross from Bridgend, Dingwall, to John M Munro Ltd., Dingwall.
Lambs (133) averaged 121.6p (+12.8p) and sold to 127.1p per kg for a 42.5kg Texel cross from Torgorm, Conon Bridge, to Woodhead Brothers, Turriff, and £59 gross for a 50kg Texel from Woodside Croft, Blackpark, to Ness Foods, Inverness.
SQQ up to 45.5kg (123) averaged 122p per kg (+12.8p).
Feeding sheep (11) to £30 gross for Suffolk ewes from 19 Carinish, Lochmaddy.
