DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd, (October 10th) sold 770 store cattle and 17 over thirty month cattle at their show and sale of weaned calves and store cattle.

The judge Mr John Ross, Ankerville chose a 615kg 15 month old Limousin bullock from Invercharron Mains, Ardgay, as his Champion which realised �810 to W Maciver & Co. Flowerburn Mains. The reserve award went to an 11 month old Limousin bullock scaling 465kg from Dell Farm, Farr, which realised �645 to the judge.

Bullocks (456) averaged 121.2p and sold to 155.4p per kg for 177kg Saler crosses from No. 1 Kilbride, Broadford, and �695 gross for a 600kg Charolais from Fiddlefield, Muir of Ord.

Heifers (314) averaged 112.5p and sold to 145.5p per kg for a 275kg Limousin from Strone Farm, Banavie, and �670 for a 530kg Limousin from No. 186 Migdale, Bonar Bridge.

OTM Cows (17) averaged 54p and sold to80.6p per kg for a 695kg Saler cross from Westburn, Murkle, and �565 gross for a765kg Simmental cross from Achardale, Halrkik.
