John Finnie is a Scottish Green Party politician. He was a Scottish National Party (SNP) Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for the Highlands and Islands region 2011−12 then was sitting as an independent 2012−16. He was formerly a police officer and then a councillor. He is standing as a Green candidate in the Highlands and Islands at the Scottish Parliament election, 2016.
