LOCHMADDY, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (October, 22nd) sold 272
store cattle and 16 breeding cattle.

The judge Mr John Henderson, Udale, chose a 430kg Limousin bullock as
his Champion and a 390kg Limousin bullock as the reserve champion both
from No. 16 Tigharry, Lochmaddy, realising £740 and £690 respectively to
the judge.

Bullocks (168) averaged 124.3p and sold to 176.9p per kg for a 390kg
Limousin and £715 gross for a 560kg Limousin both from No. 16 Tigharry.

Heifers (118) averaged 113.8p and sold to152.5p per kg for a 295kg
Charolais cross from No.7 Torlum, Benbecula, and £560 gross for a 450kg
Simmental cross from No. 2 Hosta, Tigharry.

Breeding cattle (16) sold to £1,380 gross for an in calf Limousin heifer
from No. 7 Balranald, Lochmaddy.
