DINGWALL, Dingwall and Highland Marts Ltd, (April 2nd) sold 904 store cattle at their show and sale.
Bullocks (560) averaged 150.1p (+12.3p on the year) per kg and sold to 207.2p and £945 gross.
Heifers (341) averaged 145.4p (+13.7p on the year) per kg and sold to 201p and £890 gross.
Young bulls (3) averaged 150p (+14.5p on the year) per kg and sold to 150p and £480 gross.
The Ness Motors, Robertsons of Tain, H.I.S Inverness and N.F.U Dingwall sponsored Show and Sale of store cattle judged by Jim Matthew, Whitelumbs, his overall champion was a 510kg Limousin bullock realising £860 gross. Reserve champion was a 495kg Limousin heifer realising £790.

Bullocks (560) averaged 150.1p (+12.3p on the year) per kg and sold to 207.2p for 415kg Limousin from Alvie Estate, Kincraig, and £945 gross for a 620kg Charolais cross from Woodend, Muir of Ord.
Heifers (341) averaged 145.4p (+13.7p on the year) per kg and sold to 201p for a 398kg Simmental cross from 1 Dounie, Edderton, and £890 gross for a 550kg Limousin from Lower Milton Farm, Drumnadrochit.
Young bulls (3) averaged 150p (+14.5p on the year) per kg and sold to 150p and £480 gross for a pen of three 320kg Simmental crosses from Easter Urray, Muir of Ord.
In the Ness Motors, Robertsons of Tain, H.I.S Inverness and N.F.U Dingwall sponsored Show and Sale of store cattle judged by Jim Matthew, Whitelumbs, the overall champion was a 510kg Limousin bullock from Messrs J M Fraser & Sons, Easter Clune, Lethen, realising £860 to the judge. Reserve champion was a 495kg Limousin heifer also from Messrs J M Fraser and Sons, Easter Clune, which realised £790 also to the judge.
