DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd., (May, 28th) sold 980 sheep of all classes.
Store lambs (130) sold to £56 gross for a pen of five Charollais from Ballicherry Farm, Balblair.
Ewes and hoggs with lambs at foot (478) sold to £90 per head for Cheviot ewes with Texel cross lambs from Eilean Darrach Farm Company, Dundonnell.
Feeding ewes (331) averaged £31.07 per head and sold to £69 gross for a Texel from 8 Noble's Court, Muir of Ord.
Feeding rams (10) averaged £39.30 per head and sold to £53 gross for a Cheviot from Achley Farm, Dornoch.
Wedders (31) averaged £29 per head and sold to £38 gross for Cheviots from 27 Portgower, Helmsdale.
"Feeding and prime lambs and ewes met an improved trade. A lesser quality show of ewes and lambs eased in demand."
